The most common dilemma that our customers face is which style of car lift they want to purchase. It really comes down to what type of application they wish to perform with the automotive lift. There are two main factors in deciding whether a 2 post lift or 4 post lift is right for them. Do I want to use it mainly for automotive service and repair of my vehicles or do I want to use it for a storage lift?
If the main objective for you is to provide full service and repair for the vehicles you possess or see on a day to day basis, the 2 post car lift is the choice for you. 2 post lifts will give you full access to the vehicle and allow you to maintain and service the vehicle easier than a 4 post auto lift. The 2 post car lifts are fixed to the concrete floor and require a minimum of 4” of concrete rated at 3000psi. These auto lifts should never be used for storage. The suspension hanging for long periods of time is not great for the car or driver. 2 post lifts are the most commonly used automotive lift in commercial applications, and have become very popular with the car enthusiast crowd as well. Below are a few links to some of our most popular 2 post car lifts.
